Landing Page Optimization
The Landing Page is the first page a person visits on your site and it is basically the key to attracting people to your site and what you have to offer. In most cases, your landing page is your home page. However, if you are running email campaigns you will want the landing page to represent a “Call-to-Action” page that is relevant to the email campaign or message. For example, if the email campaign is promoting 20% off of your Pro Shop items, then the landing page for that promotion should have a coupon or link where potential customers can receive that offer. It is important to keep your email campaigns consistent with your landing page.
It has been a common problem when potential customers receive an email or advertisement that links to a home page, and once they get to the home page they get lost – causing them to bounce off the website almost immediately. However, if you optimize the Landing Page, you will see an increase of conversion rate. Another great thing about these landing pages is that they are not only online driven. For an example, if you run a print ad or send a direct mail offer it is important drive them to a specific landing page on the web site. This will ensure that your campaign is a success.
